These Terms & Conditions constitute your Check Clean & Assist Service Agreement
They should be read in conjunction with any information provided from Covertxt Servicing Ltd – Effective 01/09/2021
Thank you for choosing Covertxt Servicing Limited to supply your Check, Clean & Assist Service Agreement. For the avoidance of doubt this is a Service Agreement not an insurance policy and should not be viewed or used as one.
A: Periodic cleaning and/or maintenance checks to verify that the appliance(s) is included or has been supplied by Covertxt Servicing Ltd under this Service Agreement and to ensure the continuing correct function of your appliance(s).
B: Customer services: We will provide a telephone assistance in respect of your Service Agreement and how to look after your appliance following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
C: Additional maintenance: During the term of your Service Agreement we may provide maintenance services to your appliances if required. This assistance may be in addition to Clause A of this Agreement.
D: Repair assistance: During the term of your Service Agreement we may provide repair services to your appliances if required. This assistance may be in addition to Clause A of this Agreement. If additional assistance is required from a technician outside your Service Agreement i.e. your appliance is not functioning correctly, you will be required to pay a service fee of £50 per appliance. per appliance. Covertxt Servicing Ltd will pay repair costs up to £250 per appliance.
D: Replacement appliance: Where on inspection the technician is unable to maintain or fix the appliance, due to parts not being available, or where they deem the repair cost to be uneconomical and/or a replacement appliance is recommended, we will offer you a new appliance. Please refer to Replacement Terms and Conditions section for full details.
E: Your Service Agreement will only apply to the individual appliances that we have supplied you and/or those that have been notified to Covertxt Servicing Ltd by you during the term of your Service Agreement.
F: Charges: If additional assistance is required from a technician outside your Service Agreement i.e. your appliance is not functioning correctly, you may be required to pay a service call out fee as detailed in your Service Agreement Welcome Pack.
Where the technician is unable to maintain or fix the appliance, due to parts not being available, or where they deem the repair cost to be uneconomical and/or a replacement appliance is recommended, we will offer you a replacement appliance based on the current market value of the appliance being replaced.
In order to qualify for a replacement your Agreement must be active for at least 6 months with all payments made up to date. If this is not the case i.e. if your Service Agreement has been active for less than 6 months or you have a non-standard appliance you will be required to contribute towards the cost of a replacement appliance.
The contribution is based on the current age of your appliance being replaced and is explained as follows:
Appliance age less than 4 years you will be required to contribute 50% towards your new appliance
Appliance age between 4-6 years you will be required to contribute 60% towards your new appliance
Appliance age between 6-8 years you will be required to contribute 70% towards your new appliance
Appliance age between 8-10 years you will be required to contribute 80% towards your new appliance
Appliance age over 10 years you will be required to contribute 90% towards your new appliance
We will endeavour to provide replacements with similar functionality however this is not limited to the same features including the appliance make, model, colour or size. For example, if we replaced your washing machine with a standard one from our range, the replacement appliance may be new or graded. The replacement appliance will remain the property of Covertxt Servicing Ltd for 4 years during which we will be responsible for its warranty.
You may also pay the difference and receive a better or bigger appliance eg. if you have a 42” TV and would like a 55” TV or if you have a washing machine and would like a washer dryer. If you disagree with the age determined by the Covertxt Servicing Ltd, you may be required to provide the original proof of purchase of the appliance being replaced. Your contribution will be the difference between the cost of the replacement appliance offered by Covertxt Servicing Ltd and the cost of the appliance you wish to purchase.
Each Agreement has a maximum limit that would be paid out for repairs and replacements. These are as follows:
Kitchen Service Agreement – £500 per individual appliance and £2000 per annum per Service Agreement
Living room – £500 per individual appliance and £2000 per annum per Service Agreement
Kitchen and Living room Agreement – £500 per individual appliance and £3000 per annum per Service Agreement
Kitchen, Living room and Gadgets – £500 per individual appliance and £4000 per annum per Service Agreement
Complete appliance Agreement – £500 per individual appliance and £5000 per annum per Service Agreement .
Unless we have supplied your appliance, Repairs to appliances will not be provided if they are covered by any manufacturer’s, supplier’s, repairer’s, or other warranty. This includes any insurance or guarantee which may be covered by any normal household insurance policy eg. accidental damage. The Service Agreement is not an Insurance product.
The Service Agreement shall not apply in the following circumstances:
A. If the Equipment is recalled by any supplier or manufacturer due to a generic manufacturer defect or any other reason.
B. Any unauthorised modification of the Equipment including (without limitation) any upgrade not authorised by the supplier or manufacturer or addition of any non-approved accessories.
C. Your failure to follow the Equipment operating instructions.
D. Use of your Equipment in a non-domestic or commercial environment.
E. Damage caused by attempted theft or intentional damage or damage caused by fire, explosion, dampness, liquid spillage or foreign bodies inside the equipment.
F. Any problem directly or indirectly caused by the supply of electricity.
G. No fault being found with your Equipment.
Your Service Agreement will also not provide for:
H. Repairs within the first 30 days of the inception of the Service Agreement, any pre-existing faults, any routine maintenance cleaning and servicing unauthorised by Covertxt Servicing Ltd
I. Work requested by you to take place outside normal working hours.
J. Repairs carried out outside the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands, unless otherwise agreed by Covertxt Servicing Ltd.
K. Cosmetic damage such as damage to paintwork, dents, or scratches etc.
L. Replacement of any consumables that are intended to be replaceable such as fuses, batteries, bulbs, etc
M. Equipment not properly installed.
N. Equipment not previously repaired to an acceptable standard
O. Any equipment which is not working in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification when you apply for the Service Agreement
P. Damage to or loss of programmes or digital media saved to storage devices.
Q. Damage to components of items not included in the Service Agreement.
R. Damage to any part of an appliance that is not wholly owned by you.
This Service Agreement cannot be transferred to another address without agreement from Covertxt Servicing Ltd. Your Service Agreement applies to your appliances at the address you have given us and to no other appliances or parties unless previously agreed by Covertxt Servicing Ltd
In consideration for the services we provide and by using any payment details you have provided to us, you will pay us the amount stated in the Welcome Pack accompanying these Terms & Conditions. This applies to any additional services you may opt for in the future. If you have chosen to pay your annual Service Agreement by monthly direct debit, we have appointed the BACS Approved Direct Debit Bureau, Easy Collect Services Limited (www.eazycollect.co.uk) to collect your payments and this will be shown on your bank statement for these direct debit payments. The amount must be paid in full and in advance of any and all services provided.
Your yearly Service Agreement starts when you indicate your acceptance to receiving our services (whether verbally, digitally or in writing) and will continue each year. Your Service Agreement will renew automatically at the renewal date on the same terms and conditions. If you do not want your Agreement to be renewed automatically, you must give us at least 30 days notice in writing prior to your renewal date which is 12 months from the start or renewal date of your Yearly Service Agreement.
We reserve the right to delay or suspend the provision of any services until we are in receipt of cleared funds on your Service Agreement. We will not be liable for service delays or failures where we are faced with circumstances outside our reasonable control such as Acts of God, outbreak of hostilities, riot, civil disturbance, acts of terrorism, acts of government or authority, industrial action, fire, subsidence, explosion, flood, snow, fog or other bad weather conditions, default of sub-contractors.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you may cancel this Agreement by giving us notice in writing within 14 days from the time you take out your Service Agreement. If you cancel your Service Agreement within this period, we will provide you with a full refund. Your right to cancel will be lost if you have received assistance from us during this period under your Service Agreement.
Apart from the cooling off period and the circumstances described under Changes to Your Service Agreement below, you may not otherwise cancel your Service Agreement before the expiry of the applicable 12-month term although you may choose not to renew by notifying us in writing at least 30 days prior to the next renewal date. If you fail to do this, you may lose your right to a refund and/or incur cancellation or administration fees.
Changes to your Service Agreement
We reserve the right to make changes to your Service Agreement (including any change to the Amount) on giving you notice in writing at least 30 days before the change. If there is a price change greater than the current CPI inflation rate within the first 12-month period, your Service Agreement can be cancelled by you without penalty.
You are entitled to cancel your Service Agreement before the end of the term upon receiving notice of any changes provided you notify us of your intention to cancel within 30 days of receiving our notice. If you cancel your Agreement in these circumstances, we will refund you the proportion of the amount remaining before the end of the Term.
If you wish to cancel your Service Agreement due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to charge a £25 cancellation fee
If your payments fall behind, we reserve the right to charge £22.50 for each payment returned by the bank. Any Indemnity Claims made against Covertxt Servicing will incur a £25 fee for each month claimed. Covertxt Servicing Ltd will also charge interest payable at 5% above the current base rate.
We reserve the right to charge a £25 administration fee for making changes to your Service Agreement and/or adding products throughout the term of your Service Agreement. Any addition of appliances to your original Service Agreement may increase the overall cost of your Agreement in accordance with the price relevant at the time of request. It is therefore important that you notify us on any changes to your Agreement e.g. contact details as soon as you are aware of them
If we have to replace your appliance, we reserve the right to apply any applicable charges for delivery, installation (standard or non-standard), removal of old appliances where deemed necessary.
Exclusion of third-party rights:
This Service Agreement is for your benefit only and any permitted transferee. No rights or benefits are given to any third party and the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 do not apply to this Service Agreement.
It is always Our intention to provide You with a first-class standard of service. Misunderstandings can, however, occur and We would prefer to know about the issue than for You to remain dissatisfied.
Any communication can be made orally or in writing and on Your behalf by a third party with Your permission.

We are committed to complying with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will not provide your data to any third party without your prior consent although we may supply it to any sub-contractor or agent, we may use for the purposes of carrying out our obligations under your Agreement.
The information that you provide to us will be used us to fulfil your orders, for account management, payment and marketing purposes,
We may use the information that you provide to us to send you information about our products, services and promotions (or those of our associated companies) as these may be of interest to you, unless you have indicated that you do not wish to receive such information by writing to our data Protection Compliance Manager at the above address.
This Agreement does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and the jurisdiction of the English Courts will apply. We are an independent company. (Company Reg. No. 11896392)
